Ethan Greenidge

Ethan began playing football at just age four for his local team Vernon Colts, he stayed with them for many years up until he was selected to represent Nottinghamshire district at age twelve where he remained for the following four years. Upon leaving school, he trained with Mansfield Town over the summer and whilst he didn't secure a place, this was a great experience that led him to play for Southwell City U19's, Carlton Town U21's and finally Hucknall Town, who he plays for to this day.

Unfortunate enough to of experienced a succession of injuries, Ethan has had two operations that have kept him out of the game. Being a coach here at Canoville has helped him remain involved in football as he recovers, and he is now working hard towards gaining his coaching badges as he is heavily involved with our Boys Development teams.

Being a mentor in schools has allowed him to make use of his Psychology degree, it's an environment that he thrives in and we're proud to have him on the team.

"I think that using sport, football in my case, is a great way to start positive interactions with the  children that I mentor. They all have a variety of needs but sport provides a way to connect with each one of them. Then we go from there." ~ Ethan Greenidge
