Carlie Bown

Carlie is born and raised in Nottingham and at just six years old she began playing football for Notts County. Completing just one season with them she quickly made the move to Nottingham Forest, where she remained all the way through to the U18's. She is a huge supporter of this club, never missing a game, home or away, so taking on the role of captain for 5 years was an incredibly proud achievement.

After a short stint refereeing and coaching, it soon became obvious to Carlie that she had a huge passion for the latter, so she left her home club to pursue more coaching opportunities. With a strong drive to increase female participation in the game, and being our youngest coach, she connects with our players brilliantly and is a role model to all.

"The best thing I did was come to Canoville Coaching, we're one big family and I thrive of everything we do. It's fantastic to see so many young girls getting involved in football, particularly as sport is a great way to bond with others and make friends. I see myself as a crucial figure within our Girls Development squad and pride myself on being a positive influence both on and off the pitch." ~ Carlie Bown
